Wonderful place to rent a boat. Joyce and Patrick are so friendly and take great pride in their service. It shows from the moment you see the sign for the marina, which you can't miss, until you say goodbye. We rented a pantoon from Chain O' Lakes Boat Rentals this past weekend and it was such a great experience! We wanted to do a little boating with our freshly graduated sailor, so found this place. We had a scheduling foul-up and found out the reservation system had our reservation for the following year rather than the day we intended. We figured it out while we were on the way to the marina and they were extremely flexible and accommodating. We weren't able to stay out our full time (our constraint not theirs), but had a very enjoyable time cruising "around the loop". Our boat was in great shape and operated perfectly. Orientation was brief and gave us all the information we needed. If you have any special considerations, just give them a message and I'm sure they will help you out. We highly recommend!

Excellent experience! Pat and Joyce were extremely friendly, helpful, and genuine. There was a possibility of bad weather while we were out on the lake and Joyce called us to let us know which we really appreciated. Pat went over everything we needed to know before we headed out and we felt confident that we could handle the boat afterwards! I should also mention the boat was pristine and really comfortable! The Bimini top was a great feature! We had a fabulous time and are looking forward to going back!

Had an amazing experience, the owners were incredibly kind and focused on making sure we knew what to do, how to use the boat properly, where to go and have a good time. Being captain was a delightful experience, so much so that I had to put my pirate hat on. The instruction given on how to maintain the boat, from the Bimini top to the propeller and how to navigate the water channels was top notch, so we left with confidence. The boat was well maintained and surprisingly fast. It was incredible. So incredible that we booked our next outing before we brought the boat back.

We had a great time with our grandkids boating this past week thanks to Chain O'Lakes Boat Rentals - Pontoon Boat Rentals. Chain O’Lakes Boat Rentals has a very well-run operation. Pat and Joyce are very welcoming and make you feel like family. Our boat was clean and in great working condition. We were very impressed at the speed and power of the pontoon boat easily able to tow multiple kids on a tube. We made our reservation online which took only a few minutes. We called a few days before our scheduled rental to ask questions since it’s been a while since we had operated a boat and not familiar with the chain of lakes and to be prepared. We found the 30 minute orientation very informative covering all the important basics, boating laws, safety requirements, boat operation, navigating through the chain of lake and more desirable spots on the lakes to anchor and swim. Definitely going to do this again.

Loved our time on the boat!We rented in advance for our daughter's birthday and it was the perfect time. When we got there, Pat explained the who/what/where/when/how/why in detail. Best experience from start to finish. Customer service was above and beyond. The boat was very clean, everything was in great working condition, and there is zero advertisements on the craft. On the day of our scheduled time rain was forecasted during our mid afternoon into evening time block. The owner reached out on her own to our group to move us up to avoid the rain. I cannot say enough about the positive experience Joyce, and Pat provided to my group and I. We cannot wait to make another trip on the lakes!

We had a great time even though it was a little colder and windier than we anticipated for late September. Pat and Joyce are very helpful. The boat is very clean and roomy for 10 people. Pat gave very detailed briefing before we went out. It made my son's 10th yr birthday memorable even though we didn't have a big party because of the current covid situation. What an amazing way to spend our Saturday. We rented a boat for 4 hours and spent the morning and early afternoon boating through beautiful waters. The boat was spotless and very roomy. It was our first experience renting a pontoon boat and we had the most wonderful time!!!! Pat and Joyce were amazingly accommodating. We booked for the middle of September and although it was a bit windy, it was Sunny and our boys got an oppotunity to go tubing. It was the highlight of their boat ride! Pat and Joyce didn't leave anything out, from sharing where we can park and grab a bite to eat and from where to avoid because of shallow water. This was by far one of the best first-time experiences we have had with our boys this past year. We came home and started planning our next boat rental and we do not need to search with who- it will definitely be with Pat and Joyce!! They were the kindest, patient and engaging couple ever!! Joyce and Pat were terrific. Extremely thoughtful regarding Covid safety and cleanliness. The 8 person pontoon boat was very clean and ran perfectly. Our 7 & 12 year old children had a blast on the 2 person tube, highly recommend renting it as well. We also purchased ice for our cooler through them (super convenient). There are 2 very clean bathrooms and even a shower if you need it when you are done for the day. Joyce and Pat have thought of everything. Highly recommend Pelican Bay Marina!

We arrived to pelican Bay Marina and got the warmest welcome from Pat. As I sit nervously not knowing how to ride a boat, Pat made me feel calm and confident for our four hour voyage. The pontoon boat and bathrooms were beautifully cleaned. I had the best day off riding this boat with my great friends. We rented from Pat and Joyce as part of our celebration for my son's graduation from college and my daughter's graduation from high school.The boat was immaculate. Pat explained all the controls. I was a little intimidated since I am not a boating person. Especially with taking down the Bimini top which is needed to go down to fit under some of the bridges. First Pat explained and demonstrated and then I took it down while Pat watched. A boat takes time to react so you can over compensate with steering and acceleration. So it took a little getting used to. Pat suggested get in the middle of the lake and experiment a little. That worked out well.I enjoyed the route. We did a big circle going through 5 or 6 lakes following the provided map. It is pretty interesting how the canals are built which connect the lakes. When we were out there were police in a boat on patrol. So follow the rules! Pat explained them. We had a great time as a family which is not so easy with my family. Pat and Joyce were very nice. The boat was great. We hope to go again with Chain O'Lakes Boat Rental next summer.

Positive result of 2020 - New traditionThe entire process far exceeded my expectations. We had six in our party, ages ranging from 65 to 3 for a 4 hour rental and everyone loved it! Joyce was so helpful in finding a day that worked with our schedule and felt like she was setting this up for a friend and not just as a business transaction. We arrived 10 minutes late (which with kids is on time) and she was gracious enough to give us an extra 15 minutes on the rental since it took awhile to load the boat and get captain’s training with my many questions. This was my first time renting a boat and Pat did a phenomenal job explaining how to maneuver the boat and answered all my questions and by the end felt really comfortable taking it out. He also showed us a few places to explore based on what we wanted to do which was take the kids out swimming and assisted with planning a great trip. The boat was in great condition, clean and comfortable. The restrooms at the main facility were VERY clean and the children’s life jackets were in perfect condition and sanitized which was comforting. All around perfect experience and we will be making this an annual tradition!

We rented the Bentley 20’ pontoon from Pat and Joyce for the entire day and we all had such an amazing time. We got the tube rental with it and the kids absolutely LOVED it! They must have been on that tube for a good 6 hours out of the 8 hours. The boat was in great condition and the sound system on the boat exceeded our expectation. We had two families with a total of 6 (3 adults and 3 kids) and we had plenty of space to move around and relax very comfortably. Pat and Joyce were super friendly and I would highly recommend Pelican Bay Marina to anyone who wants to rent a pontoon boat for a day on the Chain O Lakes! We will surely be back for more boating fun! 😊

Right from the start I had a excellent communication with Joyce and Pat. Getting checked in and checking was a seamless procedure.They both are extremely courteous, answer any and all of my questions, and I had plenty believe me. We came in for a half day boat rental on a nice Sat afternoon to celebrate my 50th birthday on the waters. It was awesome and one of my best celebrations ever. Patrick and Joyce make you feel very welcome and are great to work with. Patrick let us know where not to go, showed us the map of the lake, and Pat gave us a good run down and and based on his advice we had a blast. I rented the 23.5 "premier luxury boat, and it was spic n span, well maintained. There were enough life-jackets for me and my friends and we were so well taken care off. The boat has a nice stereo system, and Bimini top that we enjoyed. We also docked at the Blarney island for a Mai Tai stop-over . They really made our day so memorable and I felt like family. Their son Daniel escorted us when at one time I needed some assistance. I felt so special. I highly recommend these guys and I know I will be back for sure.. This is a celebration that me and my friends will remember for the next 50 years! They are phenomenal and totally "COOL".

For fist time driving a Boat, Pat and Joyce helped make my experience comfortable because I was very nervous. They were very friendly and welcoming. The boat was awesome, we got the biggest one with 4 children and 5 adults and were comfortable. The Tube is a MUST. My family and I spent nearly half the time taking turns on tube. Another thing I like was the safety features on the boat. For you being responsible for the boat it’s a little nerve racking thinking something can get caught in the propellers and damage the boat. This boat help prevents accidents like that, if something is not where it’s supposed to be the boat simply doesn’t start. GREAT TIME, this may be a annual thing because of this first experience.

We could not have been happier with our decision to rent a pontoon boat from Pelican Bay Marina. The boat was beautiful, clean, and in excellent condition. Joyce was so warm and welcoming and knew our names before we got out of the car to start our day. Pat was amazing and really made us comfortable with the operational side of the pontoon boat. He was explicit in his delivery and gave us a rundown on how to get around and where the best places to boat on the chain were. I can’t say enough about how accommodating they were l. The weather was perfect and the waters were calm. We did an afternoon cruise and the lake was a lot less busy later in the afternoon which was nice for novice boaters like ourselves. They run such a good business that they’re booked pretty solid so it’s best to try to organize your excursion in advance. The price was very fair as we had done a 4 hour tour on a pontoon boat on the Illinois River the week before and it was substantially more at the other marina (and the boat was nicer here!) . We are already trying to plan a return trip. Looking at the properties along the shore line might have been our favorite part! A very enjoyable day!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience. My husband and I took our teenage girls out for a day of fun on the lake. The boat was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. But really it was Pat and Joyce that made our experience even that much better. Pat was incredibly knowledgeable and even though my husband Pete grew up on a lake and has experience with boats Pat made sure that we understood everything we needed to.Joyce was beyond kind and seemed to be as excited about our day out on the lake as we were. Pat and Joyce were wonderful to plan with-very accommodating and flexible with my family's schedule! Pat gave me clear and concise instructions for operating the boat and put my mind at ease, as I am not a super-experienced boater. We rented the smallest model which was perfect for my kids (ages 13, 11, 8 and 7) to tube off, as they are not super-experienced tubers. More experienced tubers may prefer a faster boat but my beginners had a blast!

Cant begin to express how fantastic these guys are. We came in for a half day boat rental yesterday and it was awesome. Patrick and Joyce make you feel very welcome and are great to work with. Patrick let us know some great places to go on the water and based on his advice it we found an awesome sandbar to hang out at. We also rented a tube for the girls to ride while we were out. That was a blast and worth adding if you have smaller kids. Boat we rented was clean comfortably and well maintained. The lifejackets the girls used for tubing were so well taken care off they looked new. I have been to some place were buckles are broken, or they are torn etc. so this was nice to see. Getting checked in and checking out were a breeze. I wish I could give them more stars, they really made our day even better with how well they took care of us. If you want to spend some time on the lake having a blast these are the people I would recommend.

We had a great time! The boat was in excellent shape and Pat and Joyce made everything easy. We rented the 2-person tube as well and the kids had a blast. I highly recommend renting from Pelican Bay Marina! We will definitely rent from here again!

Folks! This is a great experience from start to finish! We rented two boats for my family gathering of 20. Pat and Joyce are THE nicest people and made us feel welcome and comfortable from the very start. When I returned and informed them that I had an issue with one of the towlines, they were so gracious and made me feel forgiven for making a mistake. The boats were great, clean and well taken care of. We had a wonderful family fun time! We will do it again for sure!!

This was our first time on a Pontoon Boat and it was absolutely amazing! Pat and Joyce did a wonderful job in explaining how the process works and making us feel comfortable. We had a great time and will definitely rent from Pat and Joyce again. They were extra helpful considering it was our first time renting on the chain. It was reassuring to see them doing extras like offering hand sanitizer and disinfecting life jackets as soon as we returned them. The boat was very comfortable and perfect for us. Highly recommend!

We rented two boats between 3 families, both were clean and mechanically in great shape. Joyce was great and very helpful during booking (we had some minor changes), it was easy and very straightforward. Pat and Joyce were super helpful the day of. Getting us and all the kids on the water quickly and then helping us upon return. Great little marina on a really nice part of the Chain of Lakes. Within minutes of leaving the dock you can be at a really nice sandy beach area for kids to swim and wade in shallow water. All three families loved it and we are looking to go back again this summer! Really well run family business.

Joyce and Pat greeted us as we drove up, directed us to park in a spot directly across from our rental, and walked us thru the orientation. Boat was clean and ready to go, we had it for 8 hours and it ran perfectly all day long.Will definitely come back again!

We had arrived a few minutes early for our 4 hr rental and the owners were very gracious and informative! They made sure to show us all the comfort and safety features that come along with the boat! Absolutely awesome. We will definitely be back. The boat was incredibly clean, well kept, new, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing day On the lake, even with 5 kids under 5 (they have everything you need to make sure you are safe). The owners are right there to make sure you understand everything with the boat and are truly invested to make sure you have everything you enjoy your trip. We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back. The boat was beautiful and in excellent condition. Very clean. The owners were super efficient and extremely knowledgeable. We rented a tube for the kids and they had a blast. All in all it was awesome and we wouldn’t plan on renting from anywhere else now.

We had a great time on the lake thanks to Pat and Joyce! The entire experience was great and they were very helpful with our large group and all of our kids. I highly recommend them and they even gave us a 10% military discount which was much appreciated and also had the option to pre pay for gas so we could use the entire time slot for fun. Owners were wonderful. Boat was great. We rented the boat for the whole day and 1/2 way through the day a storm moved in. The owners were on my phone checking on us several times throughout our treck back and were on the boat dock in the storm when we got back to help us off the boat and reimbursed us some of the money we paid for the rental. Cannot say enough nice things about them. Will definitely rent from them again.

The boat was clean and everything worked great. The bathrooms at the marina are the nicest and cleanest I've seen on the Chain O'Lakes. We will defiantly be renting from them again next summer.

Amazing place for a pontoon rental. Cheapest we found in that area. We had a last minute change to this place as another place clos d even though we booked already with them. This place took us with a week notice and it was one of my best boating experiences ever. The owners are very kind and easy going people. You will love it. Treat the boat as if it’s your own and you won’t have any problems. Don’t think about booking with this place. JUST DO IT! You won’t regret it!!

Pat and Joyce were very accommodating when we tried to rent a boat for a particular Sunday, even though they were booked up several weeks in advance. Pat kept us informed regarding a possible opening; as soon as it was confirmed, he called us. When we got to the marina, our boat was clean and ready to go. Pat took the time to explain everything and provide information on points of interest on the lakes. We'll be back!

My family and friends had a wonderful experience using Chain O'Lakes Boat Rentals! Pat (the owner) was exceptionally friendly and accommodating and the boat they offered us was super nice and well kept. We had a few adults and a few small toddlers with us and they had a fantastic time on the water. We'll be doing this again every year and will only go back to Pat! The owners are awesome, attentive, helpful and sweet! The grounds are clean and inviting as well as the the showers and restrooms! My family felt welcome from minute one! And my grandchildren weren’t overlooked they chatted with them asking if they needed anything and answered any of their questions! The pontoons where clean and ran excellent! This place is great! I checked around for the best pricing for boat rentals on the chain and this place had the best value. The boat was clean and ready when we arrived. Beautiful boat in excellent condition. Pat was so friendly and helpful with getting the kids fitted for life jackets and showing us how to operate the boat. We decided to rent a tube and were so happy we did. So much fun and again in excellent condition. We had a great day on the water even though it rained hard on us the last half hour of our rental as we were gassing up and heading back. Again, Pat met us out on the pier to help us dock and get our stuff off the boat. I was very impressed with the customer service and the boat itself. I can’t say enough good things about Pelican Bay Chain O’Lakes Boat Rentals. If you’re looking for a rental on the chain, you can stop looking. This is 100% an awesome choice. Go have fun!

Rented a pontoon boat here and had a great time. Owners are very friendly and helpful, and had the boat ready to go by the time we arrived. Marina is well-kept with clean bathrooms to use if you need to shower after a day on the lake!

My friends and I had a great time out on the lake and made possible by renting from here. It was easy to get to and easy to drive the boat. A perfect activity for a group of friends for a Sunday afternoon. We were able to get to a few other areas of the chain of lakes and found a good sandbar for swimming. We definitely plan on coming back and will refer friends and family.

Spent an enjoyable day with the family on the Chain Of Lakes.Renting a pontoon is like renting a floating living room, and the boats here are decked out including a nice stereo system and they have all the safety equipment. The prices were very reasonable. We did a little checking around and found this place to be the cheapest. We hit a few places including Blarney's Island - what an experience!!! The folks working here are very nice and take the time to make sure all your questions are answered.I'd recommend Chain O'Lakes Boat Rentals to friends looking for a casual day trip or a party for the entire weekend.Good times and I'm sure we will be back!!

So I found this place to fix my boat what has been great what was nice I had no clue they rent boats here I had family here from Florida and my boat was being repaired so pat set me up with a rental the cool thing was while loading up the rental mom decided to drop a pasta plate all over self lol the marina here had a great bathroom and shower house that mom could clean up people here are so nice the boat rental worked great and my boat was fixed In a timely matter and a great price the owner and his wife are very nice people I highly recommend trying this place out
